Direct air cooling
Product Information
Direct air cooling systems condense turbine exhaust steam directly using air. Heat exchange occurs between the air and steam. The process involves turbine exhaust steam passing through large exhaust pipes to an outdoor air condenser. Axial cooling fans force air to flow over the condenser's outer surface, condensing the exhaust steam into water. This condensate is then pumped back to the boiler. Direct air cooling systems eliminate the need for cooling water or other intermediate media, offering advantages such as fewer equipment needs, simpler systems, smaller land area requirements, and more flexible system adjustments.
