An indirect air-cooled system uses circulating water that enters the water side of a surface condenser. This water cools the turbine exhaust steam on the steam side of the condenser via surface heat exchange. The heated circulating water is then pumped by a circulating water pump to the air-cooled tower. Here, it undergoes surface heat exchange with air via the air-cooled radiator, cooling the water before it returns to the condenser to cool the turbine exhaust steam, forming a sealed loop.
