According to its application fields, it can be divided into power plant air coolers, petrochemical air coolers, etc.

Thermal power generation requires cooling of steam turbines. Traditional thermal power plants use water cooling, which consumes a large amount of fresh water. A 2×600,000 kW water-cooled power generation unit consumes 15.6 million tons of water annually, equivalent to the annual domestic water consumption of 360,000 city residents. Air-cooled power plants use air cooling, and water consumption is only 20%-35% of that of water-cooled power plants, significantly saving water.
