Summer cooling for air-cooled islands, energy saving and consumption reduction
Release Time:
25 Jul,2023
After long-term outdoor operation, the heat dissipation fins of the air-cooled island accumulate a large amount of dust, lint, and various other debris, which can block the heat dissipation tube bundles, significantly reducing their heat dissipation function. Consequently, the output of the air-cooled fan inverter increases. Under the highest temperature conditions, the inverter output rises, operational flexibility decreases, and continuous high-limit inverter output will lead to an increase in the steam turbine unit's outlet pressure, increasing the unit's operating "load." This, in turn, affects the unit's economy, leading to increased energy consumption and decreased efficiency. Therefore, ensuring the cleanliness of the heat exchange tube bundle surface is particularly important.
To safely wash away surface dust, accumulated lint, and other debris, all instrument probes and motors in the cleaning area must be fully protected, and ground accumulated water must be diverted. After the cleaning equipment has been debugged and is operating normally, connect the cleaning water source and fix the interface. As the cleaning equipment moves from bottom to top and from left to right, the sprayed high-pressure water will "sweep away" the dirt from the outside of the finned tube bundles, effectively reducing air-cooling frequency conversion, and restoring the fan inverter to its normal operating range.
Due to large temperature differences in summer, and excessively high temperatures at noon, the air-cooled island condensation system faces significant operational challenges and frequent adjustments, leading to the air-cooling load becoming "heavily burdened" at times. By timely cleaning, ventilation, and other means to "cool down" the equipment, the method is simple and highly efficient, allowing summer equipment to operate "lightly" and efficiently.
